Coton Sport Sets Ambitious Budget of 708 Million FCFA for 2024-2025 Season

#Coton_Sport , one of Cameroon’s top football clubs, is gearing up for the 2024-2025 season with a substantial budget of 708 million FCFA. This decision was made during their recent assembly in Garoua, where the club's leadership laid out plans to bounce back from a challenging 2023-2024 season, which saw an early exit from the Coupe du Cameroun.

The new budget reflects the club’s commitment to improving and strengthening its operations. With a focus on the future, Fernand Sadou and his team aim to rectify past shortcomings. Coton Sport, known for its strong organizational structure, is set to maintain its position as one of Cameroon’s best-managed teams. Aminou Ousmanou highlighted the club's dominance and noted that, despite some turbulence, Coton Sport remains unmatched in terms of organization and management.

In addition to the budget increase, the club plans to enhance its infrastructure, including acquiring a player dormitory in Yaoundé and restructuring the technical staff. As the team prepares for the new season, it holds the highest budget among Elite One clubs, signaling its ambition to return to the top level of Cameroonian football.

Je vais donc y répondre via ce post et je vais être un peu long.
En fait depuis longtemps on avait pensé à faire ce genre de programme mais on a traîné un peu vu qu'on était pas en réelle synergie. On pensait juste faire un truc pareil, sans aucun véritable détail. Le déclic a été le décès de IZMO LE RAPOLOGUE, cet évènement triste qui nous a rassemblé et à partir duquel on a pu avoir des échanges francs à propos. Affectés par cette douleur d'un départ précoce nous avons dès lors décidé de rendre hommage à Izmo en nommant le programme LE RAPOLOGUE INFO. Il m'a été demandé de présenter l'émission car certains aînés ont estimé que j'en avais la capacité.

🎧🎤 Alors le RAPOLOGUE INFO est structuré comme suit:
- L'invité du mois (un artiste hip-hop avec qui on a un entretien et on discute sur certaines questions d'actualité)
-La vitrine sociale (qui met en avant femmes et jeunes qui oeuvrent au quotidien pour être indépendants, qui entreprennent ou qui cherchent à se démarquer et a marquer de leur empreinte la société qui est la leur)
- L'actualité (toutes les nouvelles sorties de singles, albums, les festivals, les clips... Mais aussi les évènements à venir)
-Le journal rappé (qui met en exergue quatre ou cinq artistes qui vont rapper sous forme de débat par rapport à un thème)
- L'engagement citoyen (qui parle de l'engagement politique, qui vise à sensibiliser sur l'importance de militer et s'engager dans le processus électoral histoire de faire changer les choses. À cet effet on va à la rencontre de jeunes leaders d'opinion avec qui nous avons dès entretiens).
Clairement il s'agit donc d'une émission à large spectre qui n'est pas focus que sur le hip-hop ou sur la musique car nous explorons d'autres horizons.
Bien évidemment je ne suis pas seul, car derrière il y a une équipe que vous découvrirez en intégralité dès le premier numéro. Des questions ??? 🤔

Sam Fan Thomas (born Samuel Thomas Ndonfeng, April 1952, Bafoussam, Cameroon) is a Cameroonian musician associated with Makossa. 🎧🎶 He began in the late 1960s and had his first hit with "Rikiatou". His "African Typic Collection" was an international hit in 1984 and is perhaps his best known work. Thomas began his career in the early 1970s as a guitarist in the Cameroonian band Tigres Noires. He stayed with that band until 1976, when he launched his solo career

He started his musical career in 1968 when he joined The Black Tigers, led by the blind musician, Andre Marie Tala. He stayed with Tala for eight years, recording several singles. The band also recorded in Paris and toured Senegal and other African countries. During this period Tala developed his own tchamassi rhythm, a modern music style based on Bamileke folklore. 🎤🎷

In 1976, his first solo LP was Funky New Bell, recorded in Benin on the Satel label. A second LP, on the same label, followed in 1977. On that album, he was supported by the Black Santiagos from Benin. His third release came in 1982 in Nigeria, with the hit song "Rikiatou", which established his reputation in Cameroon. In 1983, Thomas travelled to Paris to record Makassi. Makassi is the name of Thomas' own music style, a type of uptempo makossa blended with a touch of Andre Marie Tala's tchamassi and other bamileke influences. The album contained the hit song, "African Typic Collection". This song built around the melody of the Franco song, "Boma l'heure", and became an international dance floor hit, with sales across Africa, France and the West Indies, where it was also released as a 12-inch single. Makassi brought Thomas a golden disc in 1984 and was followed by his fifth album, Neng Makassi in 1985. The album retained the sophisticated production of Makassi, without matching his greatest hit. In 1986, he released two albums, Funk Makassi and Makassi Plus. Together with "African Typic Collection", two tracks off Makassi Plus were released in 1987 on a compilation album by the British Earthworks record label. Makassi Plus was followed in 1988 by Makassi Again, which was distributed internationally by the Celluloid record label. Thomas also toured with his band MBC (Makassi Band Corporation) in West and East Africa, Europe and the Americas.

From the early 1990s, Thomas changed his focus from recording his own material, to promotion and guiding new talented Cameroonian singers and musicians. He gathered talented musicians, including the late Kotto Bass, Ebelle Jeannot, K. Godefroy, Fabo Claude, Guy Bilong and Tala Jeannot, at Makassi Plus Studio in Douala. He released a string of records from various artists during the 1990s. Thomas released new material in 1993's Emotion and 1999's No Satisfaction. Neither of these CDs brought him the success of his earlier work.

He performed successful shows in Nairobi (2007), the US (2009) and Abidjan (2010).

La quatrième édition du Cameroon Investment Forum a eu lieu dans la ville de Douala sous le thème : « l’attrait des investissements productifs dans les chaînes de valeurs agricoles et halieutiques en vue d’intensifier la dynamique d’import-substitution au Cameroun : focus sur les filières riz, maïs, poisson, lait et palmier à huile. »
Au cours de cette édition l'objectif principal de l'Agence de Promotion des Investissements (API) organisatrice de ce forum a été de sensibiliser l’écosystème entrepreneurial camerounais ainsi que les partenaires sur les enjeux de la politique d’import-substitution et d'attirer les IDE (investissements directs étrangers). Les articulations majeures de ce forum ont été le panel ministériel pour préciser les orientations politiques dans le sens de l’import-substitution, le panel technique qui a permis de mettre en exergue le problème de l’import-substitution et les outils existants pour implémenter ce changement de paradigme dans une dynamique positive. Cet évènement a été articulé autour d’un panel politique, un panel technique, des salons thématiques, le marché de l'investissement et la soirée de gala des investisseurs.

Le #MINPMEESA au delà de la mobilisation des PME pour leur participation à cette grande rencontre, a brillamment contribué au panel ministériel durant lequel le ministre des PME, de l'Economie Sociale et de l'Artisanat Achille BASSILEKIN III s'est exprimé en plénière sur le thème « intensifier la contribution des PME à l’accélération de l’import-substitution et à la promotion du Made in Cameroon ». Une opportunité idoine pour le ministre de rappeler le rôle et l'importance des #PMEESA au Cameroun, les obstacles auxquels font face ces PMEESA et le dispositif d’accompagnement déployé pour accélérer la dynamique d’import-substitution.
Les débats aussi bien au niveau des panels qu’au niveau des salons thématiques sont longuement revenus sur la mise en place par l'Etat du fond de garantie de 200 milliards de FCFA dont les contours ne semblent pas encore biens assimilés par les bénéficiaires et aussi la nécessité de produire en respectant les normes de qualité, mais également l'importance de densifier les petites unités de transformation.

The Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey and the Hors Classe Adviser at the Directorate General for International Partnerships at the European Union, Ben Henrik Hololei, who was leading a European Union Delegation, discussed about the opportunities to seize during the Cameroon-European Union Business Week, amongst others. It was during an audience at MINEPAT this Monday, February 19, 2024, in Yaounde.
After the Closed door audience, the head of the European Union delegation Ben Henrik Hololei, explained to the Media that it was an opportunity for them to discuss with the Minister of the Economy, on several aspects of the Cameroon-European Union cooperation. One of them being the Cameroon-European Union Business Week scheduled from February 20 to 22 2024, which is projecting to bring together about 150 Economic companies. He added that this will be a good occasion to have more investments and more partnerships.
The Head of the European Union Delegation also explained that they remarked to the Minister that Cameroon is not only an important partner to the EU but is equally a country that is radiating the stability and peace in this region. He greatly appreciated the efforts undertaken by government and also the Minister personally to enhance this.
Mr. Ben Henrik Hololei also said they looked at the many projects of the Cameroon-European Union; in the areas of transport, energy and digital amongst others, mentioning that they are good for the development of the country. He talked of creating jobs and creating opportunities, particularly focusing on younger people, because every year about 400,000 young people enter the labour market and if there be opportunities for them the more successful the country will be.

In his welcome address, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo, Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, praised the profile of his guest. The latter is the first to hold a doctorate in Sociology from the Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou. His work in the field also inspired admiration, as well as his mastery of the scientific and administrative spheres. The Minister of State expressed his gratitude to Prof. Fabien NKOT, Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Yaounde II, who led this intellectual and political eminence within MINESUP's premises.
In response, Dr Zakaria SORE, Secretary General at the Presidency of Burkina Faso, expressed his wish to learn from Cameroon's University experience. In the same vein, he pointed out that a significant number of Burkinabe have been trained in Cameroon. Indeed, he revealed that 60% of demographers in Burkina Faso were trained in our country, notably at the Institute for Demographic Training and Research (IFORD) of the University of Yaounde II. It is therefore an opportunity for him to draw inspiration from Cameroon's higher education system to develop that of the Land of Upright People, but also to envisage collaboration between the Universities of the two States. He further explains by saying: “I am here to pave the way between Cameroonian higher education and higher education of Burkina Faso”.
At the end of this audience, which focused on sharing experiences, the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, assured his Burkinabe guest that the areas of collaboration between the two university systems would be set out in a memorandum that he will submit to his superiors as soon as he returns to Burkina Faso.

On se souvient que le 22 septembre 2022, le porte étendard de la mandature des défis, le Maire Jacquis Gabriel Kemleu Tchabgou passait le témoin au Maire Éric Nyat de la Commune de Bangangté afin que ce dernier organise la deuxième édition du Forum Régional des ACTEURS de l'Eau de l'Ouest.
La première édition qui avait été un succès fulgurant tenu dans la commune de Dschang, de nombreuses collectivités territoriales décentralisées et les organisations de la société civile de la région de l'Ouest étaient venues s'abreuver à la source expérimentale de Dschang. Voici venu le temps de la deuxième édition et c'est le département du Ndé qui accueille tous ces acteurs.
Monsieur Georges Modeste Mekui, directeur de l'agence Municipale de l'Eau et de l'Énergie ( AMEE) et son équipe vont animer le premier module de l'événement juste après le cérémonial d'ouverture en compagnie du Professeur Temgoua Émile, 1er adjoint (représentant le Maire empêché). LOCAL GOVERNANCE: DSCHANG WILL SHARE ITS WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN SUPPLYING DRINKING WATER TO BANGANGTE WITH ALL DECENTRALIZED LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN THE WESTERN REGION

On September 22, 2022, Lord Mayor Jacquis Gabriel Kemleu Tchabgou, the standard-bearer of the mandate of "Challenges", handed over the baton to Lord Mayor Éric Nyat of Bangangté Council, who will organized the second edition of the West Regional Forum of Water Stakeholders.
The first edition, held in the Dschang Council, was a resounding success, with numerous decentralized local authorities and civil society organizations from the West region coming to drink from the experimental spring in Dschang. Now it's time for the second edition, and it's the Division of Ndé that welcomes all these stakeholders.
Mr. Georges Modeste Mekui, Director of the Municipal Agency of Water and Energy (AMEE) and his team will lead the first module of the event just after the opening ceremony, accompanied by Professor Temgoua Émile, 1st Deputy (representing the Lord Mayor who is unable to attend). Dschang will focus its presentation on "Mapping and inventorying hydraulic structures in municipalities", the specific case of the Dschang Council.
From March 20 to 22, the Dschang Council will be the center of attention at the Bangangté town hall.

Locko a effectivement réalisé un exploit au PAPOSY avec une salle pleine à craquer et un public à chaud qui a répondu présent pour communier et festoyer avec lui. Ce concert est le fruit du travail du Sawa Boy qui depuis les débuts de sa carrière fait chanter des générations, construit une discographie très chargée et aligne des chansons qui se transforment en classique et a eu a livré multiples projets de qualité.

Loin des buzz et focus sur un travail acharné, le concert qu'a réalisé Locko hier est une consécration de sa passion et abnégation qu'il dédie à ses œuvres musicales pour le plus grand bonheur du public . 😊

🟠#Focus : Longue Longue Ambassadeur des causes sociales

Né en 1974, Simon Agno LongKana fait ses premiers pas dans la musique grâce à son don d'interprète et des contacts de la musique qui verront en lui un talentueux artiste.

Il commence par se produire dans les cabarets de Yaoundé. Après Prince Afo Akom, il est lauréat en 2000 du concours Mützig Star. Mais le succès ne frappe à sa porte que, lorsqu'il sort son premier album en 2001. Album intitulé Ayo Africa, la chanson éponyme phare de l'album connaît un succès phénoménal au Cameroun et même au-delà des frontières. On lui trouve rapidement le surnom du "libérateur".

Son deuxième album, Privatisation, sort en 2003 et connait moins de succès ; à l'exception du morceau très pieux "Demander à Dieu". Longuè Longuè connaît une grande popularité sans doute liée à son parcours. Considéré comme étant une source d'inspiration pour nombre de déshérités au Cameroun car il représente celui qui a pris sa revanche sur la vie.

À ce jour, il compte 7 albums et plusieurs collaborations avec des artistes comme Darina Vitry, Shura et bien d'autres. Il est considéré par la jeune génération comme une source d'inspiration.
