Bashenga was a warrior shaman who became the first King of Wakanda and the inaugural Black Panther by uniting four of the five warring tribes of Wakanda. "Black Panther" is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the 18th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, the film stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther. The cast also includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. Danai Gurira est une actrice de nationalité américaine et Zimbabwéenne. Ses 2 parents sont originaires du Zimbabwe.
Elle est révélée, au grand public, grâce à son interprétation du personnage Michonne dans la série télévisée à succès The Walking Dead depuis 2012.
Forte d'une nouvelle notoriété, elle perce au cinéma et joue dans des longs métrages tels que All Eyez on Me et Godzilla vs Kong.
