Cameroon striker Naomi Eto has joined French first division club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) from En Avant Guingamp (EAG) . 🇨🇲🦁

#Naomi_Eto is the captain of the Cameroon U-20 Lionesses.

She distinguished herself at the U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia, scoring 2 goals in 3 matches and guiding Cameroon to the round of 16.

She was developed at the Roger Milla Academy, before joining FAP, Yaounde. She became one of the most promising players in the Cameroonian championship.

Meet world record holder, Onye Lauritta (age 40), a Nigerian🇳🇬 Paralympian athlete shot-putter.🤝🏽

Onye Lauritta is a two-time world championships medalist and two-time paralympic medalist.

Her world opened up in 2011 when her event was included at the All Africa Games in Maputo, this time for real. She attended and finished with silver🥈 in shot put.

Fired on from there, she trained for the 2015 African Championships where she hit gold🥇 in shot put, with a world record of 7.59 metres, and silver in discus throw.

Matching on, she proceeded to the Doha🇶🇦 2015 International Paralympic Championships to win Gold🥇 (the only medal for Nigeria and also increased her world record to 7.72 metres).

In 2016, she handed team Nigeria it’s first medal in the athletes event, clinching gold🥇 in the women’s shot put f40 on day-four of the Rio2016 in Brazil🇧🇷. Her first throw of 8.40m which stands as a world record till today.

#Lauritta_Onye settled for the bronze🥉 in the F40 shot put with a throw of 8.29m at the Tokyo2022 Paralympic Games in Japan🇯🇵.

The Brazilian spectators aptly described her as “the dancing queen” and that moment has been captured as an iconic advertisement of the Paralympic spirit, an inspiration for all persons with disability, not only in sports.

1. On her return from Doha, the Nigerian society played a trick on her. Muhammadu Buhari had just been elected President and one of his first engagements with the sports community was to reward athletes and coaches who had brought glory to Nigeria in international events, including members of the 1985 national team that won the first FIFA U16 World Cup in China.

Curiously, Lauritta and her coach, Patrick Anaeto, were not invited to the party nor given neither recognition nor reward.

Lauritta Onye was saddened with the disregard. It could have discouraged her from further involvement in sports but she was in love and also has great mental strength and resilience.

2. After the Paralympic team returned from Rio, her home state government, Imo, showered the medalists from there with cash and car gifts but Lauritta was excluded, for the reason that she resides in Lagos.

Onye is also an actress, performing under the name Laury White.

🛑 Nom d'artiste: Winnie Songmene

Winnie Songmene Dorothé est née le 03 janvier 1995 dans la ville de Dschang (Ouest Cameroun). Avant sa rencontre véritable avec les arts plastiques en classe de troisième, les balbutiements expressifs de son être se faisait à travers l'écriture. Elle accueille comme salutaire l'idée de pouvoir intégrer une école d'art, et avant d’y arriver, elle suit pendant deux années consécutives des cours de dessin pendant les vacances. Après l’obtention de son Baccalauréat, elle intègre l'Institut des Beaux-Arts de Foumban en 2014. Elle y obtient une licence en sculpture et un master 2 en dessin-peinture (2018).

D’un intérieur bouillant et d’une grande sensibilité, le travail de Winnie est un voyage à la découverte de soi. Il vise à la révéler, à se dire et dire les autres ; à susciter en chacun des sentiments, ces choses à ressentir que les mots seuls ne suffisent à traduire. « In humain » comme elle aime l’appeler est pour ainsi dire une mise à nu, une expression et une exaltation des sentiments, des extases d’un instant.

Elle a fréquenté l’atelier de l’artiste Herve Youmbi ainsi que les ateliers #Artkéo .

#Winnie_Songmene a participé à la première édition du Annie Art Discovery, projet initié par la AKA Gallery Douala (2022) ; ainsi que “Avis de Tsunami” (2017), la 4éme édition de Women art connects de la galerie ZeeArt Dubaï (2020), l’exposition collective “Abstraction” du centre d’art contemporain Doual’Art (2020).

Jordan Chiles thought she had missed out on the medal stand in the women's gymnastics floor routine final. She was in 5th place after the scoring was revealed.

But her coaches submitted an appeal to the judges. A leap called a Gogean was not originally credited by the judges. After the Team USA coaches submitted the inquiry, Chiles was awarded an extra tenth of a point on her routine for having completed the leap.

That extra tenth of a point moved her from 5th to 3rd in the standings, and earned her a bronze medal, leading to a rush of emotion from Chiles, who joined her teammate Simone Biles on the medal stand.

Qui vise à impliquer davantage les femmes en politique et améliorer la gestion politique des femmes à travers un renforcement de capacité et de connaissance en politique.

J'ai eu le plaisir de discuter avec le directeur général d'ELECAM et plusieurs représentants de cette structure. J'ai compris que dans certains cas, les listes de candidatures des candidats sont rejetés parce que ceux ci ne maîtrise pas complètement la constitution des dossiers et toutes les pièces à fournir. La preuve étant que pendant cette formation même les élus locaux étaient surpris des nuances qui existent à ce niveau.
