Meet world record holder, Onye Lauritta (age 40), a Nigerian🇳🇬 Paralympian athlete shot-putter.🤝🏽
Onye Lauritta is a two-time world championships medalist and two-time paralympic medalist.
Her world opened up in 2011 when her event was included at the All Africa Games in Maputo, this time for real. She attended and finished with silver🥈 in shot put.
Fired on from there, she trained for the 2015 African Championships where she hit gold🥇 in shot put, with a world record of 7.59 metres, and silver in discus throw.
Matching on, she proceeded to the Doha🇶🇦 2015 International Paralympic Championships to win Gold🥇 (the only medal for Nigeria and also increased her world record to 7.72 metres).
In 2016, she handed team Nigeria it’s first medal in the athletes event, clinching gold🥇 in the women’s shot put f40 on day-four of the Rio2016 in Brazil🇧🇷. Her first throw of 8.40m which stands as a world record till today.

1. On her return from Doha, the Nigerian society played a trick on her. Muhammadu Buhari had just been elected President and one of his first engagements with the sports community was to reward athletes and coaches who had brought glory to Nigeria in international events, including members of the 1985 national team that won the first FIFA U16 World Cup in China.
Curiously, Lauritta and her coach, Patrick Anaeto, were not invited to the party nor given neither recognition nor reward.
Lauritta Onye was saddened with the disregard. It could have discouraged her from further involvement in sports but she was in love and also has great mental strength and resilience.
2. After the Paralympic team returned from Rio, her home state government, Imo, showered the medalists from there with cash and car gifts but Lauritta was excluded, for the reason that she resides in Lagos.
Onye is also an actress, performing under the name Laury White.

🔴🔘🔵 JUS DE CACAO AU #Cameroun 🇨🇲 ‼️ Le #cacao est une des principales cultures de rente assurant un revenu à de nombreux petits exploitants des régions humides de Côte d’Ivoire, du Ghana, du Cameroun et du Nigeria.
Les fèves de cacao ne représentent néanmoins que 10% du poids total du fruit, le reste étant rarement valorisé (Lambaga Koko Malaysia, 2018). Or, de la pulpe blanche qui entoure les fèves peut être extrait un jus très sucré au goût s’approchant de la pomme ou du litchi.
Pour créer des revenus en zone rurale au Cameroun, la Fondation Antenna met sur pied et teste une logistique de récolte ainsi que la pasteurisation et la distribution du jus de cacao.
La logistique est cruciale, car la pasteurisation doit être effectuée dans les 12h suivant l’extraction afin d’éviter la fermentation du jus. Il est amené dans une unité de transformation installée au sein de l’Institut Agricole d’Obala, un de nos partenaires au Cameroun. La distribution est ensuite effectuée par l’entreprise camerounaise African Solar Generation.
Ce projet a pour objectif de créer de la valeur très localement en s’appuyant sur des ressources existantes tout en créant de l’emploi et des revenus en circuit court.

Née à Yaoundé d'un père pasteur et d'une mère chantre .Son nom de scène Sanzy est une anagramme de San-drine et D-zi-nguene. Viany représente le Soleil en langue eton, sa langue maternelle .
• Jeunesse et débuts (1995–2010)
Sanzy Viany commence la musique à l'âge de neuf ans .Elle monte sur scène pour la première fois à 15 ans, aux côtés de Sultan Oshimihn, chanteur de reggae camerounais . Elle travaille en tant que choriste en studio et multiplie les scènes. En 2007, elle commence à composer pour son futur album Akouma. La même année, encouragée par le rappeur Krotal, elle participe au festival Massao .
En 2009, elle se fait un nom sur la scène camerounaise et internationale. Son premier album Akouma porté par des titres tels que Me Teug et Minga Atan voit le jour .Un album connait un grand succès et lui vaut des distinctions de l'année 2009 au festival des musiques bantoues Festi Bikutsi. Les scènes se multiplient : elle se produit entre autres au Bénin en 2009 et 2010.
Dans la foulée, Sanzy Viany rejoint le projet de comédie musicale Daughters of Africa avec laquelle elle fait une tournée aux Pays-Bas.

Sanzy Viany fait par ailleurs de nombreuses rencontres et travaille avec des artistes de renom comme Henri Dikongué, Krotal, Queen Eteme, Sissy Dipoko, Bébé Manga, Manu Dibango, Kareyce Fotso, Ismaël Lô, Amy Koita ou encore Monique Séka .
En 2014, elle revient avec un second album intitulé Ossu porté par le titre éponyme, qui en langue eton signifie « aller de l’avant » .
Avec ce deuxième album, elle représente le Cameroun à l’African Zik Festival au Zénith de Paris. Elle produit par la suite le spectacle Light and Voice qui met en valeur la voix comme premier instrument. En 2015, elle est une fois de plus finaliste du Prix Découvertes RFI représentant ainsi le Cameroun à ce concours[14]. La chanteuse y met en avant les titres Ossu et Sitima issus de son deuxième opus .
Le 10 septembre 2016, elle chante à l’Olympia de Paris en première partie du concert de sa compatriote Charlotte Dipanda. Le spectacle Ossu on Stage est présenté le 7 novembre de la même année à l’auditorium de la cité internationale des arts de Paris.
